Installing RevFE
From
Windows
Installing RevFE in Windows is fairly simple. The first thing you need to do to install RevFE, is download it. The latest version can always be found on the sourceforge website. You will also need the DS_MP3 codec, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redist package.
Once you have these three things, then you need to (in any particular order) install the DS MP3 Codec and MSVC Redist and extract the downloaded zip file to any location you wish, typically C:\RevFE. At this point, RevFE is ready to be run via C:\RevFE\RevFE.exe. It is highly suggested that you Configure your install before usage.
Linux
To install RevFE in Linux, you should download the latest RevFE debian installer from the sourceforge website. Then open it in your favorite debian package manager which will automatically install all dependencies. RevFE typically installs to /usr/bin/RevFE, while the skins, plugins, and settings file install to /usr/share/RevFE/. As with the windows install, highly suggested that you Configure your install before usage.
